Lord, have your way

have your way in us.

Lord, would you stir it up in our hearts, to have a passion for your name?  would you so consume our hearts so that everything that is not of you be burned away?  let us not be satisfied by anything other than your holy presence in our lives.  we want to have our hearts like your heart.  shape us into those who would seek your face, and be obedient to your way.  your way is so much better.  we trust you, Lord. with our lives.  would you have YOUR way in us.

this is a quick note… to achieve an optimal feeling of “fresh breath-ness,”  you definitely have to do more than just brush your teeth.  flossing is good, mouthwash is great, brushing the roof of your mouth as well as side cheeks is better, but scraping your tongue is the best

the goodness of our God February 13, 2009

The way that I view God is I love to see His goodness in all things.

I would say the theme in my life is that I see “God working all things together for good for those who love him (Rom 8:28).

I just love to soak in the Lord’s goodness, because I have seen that even in times of hardship, the Lord’s goodness is in my situation–and He is using my situation to build my character and transform me more into his likeness — a good thing!!

Hebrews tells us to “endure hardship as a discipline” and when God disciplines us..he is treating us as his sons and daughters!  what a privilege to be in God’s family

All of us need to be challenged and be transformed by God’s spirit, but  the important thing is we have to LET God use our circumstances to SHAPE us, GROW us… it’s all about our perspective. how are we viewing the circumstances in our lives?  Do we see the Lord’s goodness in it?

trust that in God’s perfect timing, he will produce a WHOLE HARVEST of righteousness through you.. but only as we have been “trained” by his discipline, so we must remember that even when our “hardships” seem like they will never end, God is developing in us perseverance!

so I pray that we all would have greater self-control, patience, and faith in God as we trust in His timing over our own.

He is a good, good God.

my daily morning laughter.. February 12, 2009

ok so if you know me at all you know that i love my small little dog, lee lee… a 15 1/2 year old, 11 lb small pekingese.

well every morning i take her for a walk in our new neighborhood in altadena…and it’s hilarious…. about 10 dogs come out to bark at my little (almost deaf) dog and she walks around pretty oblivious to it..

every morning it’s the same procedure..

first..the rottweiler comes out and barks..along with his little white pit bull puppy friend..

and then once the rottweiler starts to bark, sure enough the two neighbor dogs come running out…barking up a storm…

a huge white  standard poodle and a white bulldog

AND then..haha when they start barking..the dogs straight across the street start barking… 3 chihuahuas at one house and a doberman pinscher in the other…

so…. haha.. at one point in our walk every morning..there are now EIGHT darks barking up a storm at my little precious lee lee..

one would think she would be scared..or cower away…but..when she finally sees them barking..what does she do?

LOL she starts barking back!! even louder.. my little 100-year old grandma is not scared of anything!!

it makes me laugh every single morning….

just wanna share the joy with you all

when I think of me, Diana Lee, born in Taipei, growing up in Powder Springs, GA with my specific family, with the friends I developed at ACCC, at McEachern High School, University of Georgia, at my Study Abroad at National Taiwan University, and now at Fuller Seminary… of all the people I’ve known, been around, who I am today and how I have been shaped by my environment…

I AM SO THANKFUL because GOD HAS DESIGNED EVERYTHING SO INTRICATELY!!!

I am so humbled when I think there are no accidents, that everything is divinely appointed…

…..

my mother came to visit me this weekend in LA and it was such a blessed time

so much in fact it made me think, wow.  God has created me to be with the very family i have…

out of 1,000,000,000 people, God chose me to grow up with MY dad, MY mom, MY brother, MY sister..

my mom’s love is completely sacrificial…everything she does, she thinks of her kids first, always always before herself.  it’s so humbling to be old enough to appreciate your parents and realize how much they have done for you your whole life.

it’s amazing to me how sacrificial love is, and being around my mother’s love has shown me

HOW MUCH MORE is GODS LOVE FOR ME?!

I love thinking that God has orchestrated everything in my life from the people i meet, from YOU reading my blog, from every place he has you.. it blows my mind how everything is used to show us how God is in absolute control of everything.  It’s HIS Story, and HE IS GOOD.

May we ALL KNOW THE TRUTH OF GOD’S PURPOSES and really really really appreciate those

He places in our lives.

Tell your family, friends, loved ones how much you love & appreciate them today!    God put them in your life for reason

EXALT THE LORD WITH ME!  LET US PRAISE HIS NAME TOGETHER
